Backbone Mountain Review Now Available!

The Allegany Arts Council, the Garrett County Arts Council, and the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing are pleased to announce the release of the 2007 issue of the Backbone Mountain Review, a new bi-county literary journal. Copies of the inaugural issue, which features poetry, plays, fiction, and creative non-fiction by twenty-seven local writers, are now available at NO COST to all members of the Allegany Arts Council (while supplies last)! Stop by the Allegany Arts Council today to pick up your FREE copy of this wonderful new publication!

The editorial board for the 2007 journal consists of three editors from Allegany County—Justin Dyke, Jim Ralston, and Karen Zealand, and three editors from Garrett County—Jack DuBose, Susan Haydel, Melodee Hill. The steering committee for the project is comprised of Andy Vick, executive director of the Allegany Arts Council; Steve Schlosnagle, executive director of the Garrett County Arts Council; and Gerry LaFemina, director of the Creative Writing Center at Frostburg State University.
