A public Reading & Reception for the 2014 Backbone Mountain Review (BMR) literary journal will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 2PM in the Allegany Arts Council's Community Room, located at 9 N. Centre Street in Downtown Cumberland's Arts & Entertainment District. Sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council, the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing, the Allegany County Library System, the Community Trust Foundation, and the NewPage Corporation, BMR is an annual literary journal showcasing the creative talents and cultural diversity of the people and places within the Appalachian Mid-Atlantic. For more information, visit the BMR website.
The Reading & Reception on March 2 is free and open to everyone, and complimentary copies of the 2014 Backbone Mountain Review will be available at no charge during the event. Please note that some language in this year's publication may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
