A reading and reception for the 2010 Backbone Mountain Review (BMR) literary journal will be held on Sunday, February 21, at 2PM at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Frostburg. The reading and reception are free and open to the public, and complimentary copies of the 2010 Backbone Mountain Review will be available at no charge during the event. Please note that some language in this year's publication may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

Sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council and the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing, the 2010 Backbone Mountain Review is an annual publication that features poetry and fiction by area writers. A six-person editorial board, which included Brad Barkley, Kurt Detwiler, Susan Haydel, Jennifer Merrifield, Becca Ramspott and Lori Yoder, reviewed all of the 2010 submissions and selected the accepted works. Special thanks also to Ann Townsell, our graphic designer from Frostburg State University, and to Steve Gobeil our 2010 photography artist.
