One Tree, Many Branches of Expression Cultural Arts Series and The Shuman Life Center, Cumberland, Maryland invites you to enjoy “Drum for Joy” with Jaqui MacMillan Saturday, August 15.
The Drum for Joy Workshop will be held from 2-5PM (Registration 1:30-2PM). This is an interactive experience in which participants use rhythm as a tool to facilitate communication, build spirit and promote well-being. No experience is necessary; interested novice to seasoned drummers welcome.
Tickets are $40 (early bird, received prior to the workshop/performance $35). Students (younger than 18) are $15 (must be accompanied by adult participant). As an added bonus, the fee includes evening Drum for Joy Orchestra Performance
The Drum for Joy Orchestra Performance will be held from 7-9PM. Drums and other percussion instruments have been used throughout history to make music, communicate across distances and unite people in celebration. Join Jaqui and her friends for a night of performance you will always remember!
Tickets for the performance only are $15 single/$25 couple, and includes light refreshments.
