On April 12, all branches of the Allegany County Library System will hold Food-for-Fines Day, the annual day of the year when patrons can reduce their fines by turning in cans or boxes of non-perishable food. Each can or box given will reduce your library fine by $1. A maximum of $10 can be reduced off each library patron’s card. Food collected will be given to the Western Maryland Food Bank!
