The 2012 Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra will be performing at Windsor Hall on Saturday, April 14 at 7PM as part of the Cumberland Jazz Society’s “WEEKEND OF JAZZ IN DOWNTOWN CUMBERLAND” and is a featured event in the area’s celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month.
The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra is a contemporary big band featuring the music of guest conductor Mike Tomaro. The band is comprised of some of the finest collegiate musicians on in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and performed earlier this year at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
As a special addition to the concert, Guest Artists from the Army Blues Matt Niess and Graham Breedlove will be performing and leading the 2012 Cumberland Area All Star High School Big Bands.
The event is sponsored by the Cumberland Jazz Society and WFWM Radio. Doors open at 6PM. Tickets are $10 and are available by contacting the Book Center in Downtown Cumberland. For more information, visit www.cumberlandjazz.com.
