Artist, Mary Kollman, will discuss her work on Saturday, April 21 at 2PM at the C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts as part of the ongoing “Where Oil Meets Metal” exhibit.
Kollman, an internationally known artist currently living in Cumberland, has been featured in galleries in New Mexico, California, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Maryland and Virginia and her work is in private collections across Europe, Asia and the United States.
Kollman grew up in Oregon and Washington State and has lived in various locales coast to coast. From childhood, she was inspired by nature and continues to incorporate her changing natural surroundings into her work.
The talk is free and open to the public. The C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts is located at 104 Washington Street in Cumberland and regular museum hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1-4PM. “Where Oil Meets Metal” runs in the downstairs galleries through April 29.
