Join us Sunday, October 7, 2018, for the public opening of Resilience: The Art Exhibition, a part of the Resilience project, and made possible by the partnership of the Allegany Arts Council and the New Day Campaign.
The Exhibition.
The exhibition itself features the artwork of local artists, Sandra Arnold and Darrin Isom, who have spent the last several months interviewing and sitting with subjects in active recovery, those who have suffered a loss due to substance abuse and/or mental health disorders, and those who are actively breathing, walking, and most importantly, surviving.
Also included will be artwork invoking the themes of “breathing,†“living,†“walking,†and “caring†by: Schroeder Cherry, Nancye Hesaltine, Kathleen Hoagg, Michelle Labonte, and Peter and Elisif Bruun.
As will be the case with all Resilience project events, resource tables will be available for those in need of services and guidance.
