The 2020 Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition is almost upon us! Join us for the third in a series of workshops in which you can hone your skills, sharpen your focus, and make the most of your iPhone camera.

The Workshop

This workshop, What's New in iPhone Photography, will offer you tips that will help enhance your iPhone photography.
Topics covered in the workshop will include:
- learning about what's new in the iPhone camera app
- understanding the iPhone as an item in the photographers tool kit
- understanding the features of the camera app for taking and editing pictures
- learning some tips and tricks to use the iPhone to take the best pictures
- learning about other camera and editing apps for the iPhone

The Instructor

Doug Schwab first picked up a camera, a Kodak Brownie Starmite, in the early 1960s, shooting 127 film in black & white. From there, his love for photography grew from film into the digital realm, developing his knack for computers while working in the computer lab in college and honing his programming skills during the early days of home computers. He became the Chief Information Officer and a leader in the business technology field at his family’s apparel manufacturing business, publishing papers with cutting-edge technology topics ranging from bar codes to connecting remote factories. Doug caught the Apple bug owning his first Mac 128K computer and has since kept up with all the latest Apple iOS and MacOS. He enjoys teaching others young and old how to use technology, utilizing his eye for composition for landscapes, animals and people to lead the way.
