The Allegany Arts Council invites all current members to join us for the Allegany Arts Council's Annual Membership Meeting to take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 5:00PM-5:45PM. Immediately following the meeting is the Public Opening of the 2021 Members Exhibition.
Annual meetings are required in the bylaws of the Allegany Arts Council and many other non-profit organizations as a way to bring the general membership together for important business. The purpose of annual meetings is to allow for voting on leadership roles, to inform the general membership about the previous and future activities of the organization, and to provide a general "state of the union" of the agency.
As a dues-paying member, you are entitled to receive information about the financial status of the organization, and to learn more about how we are utilizing resources to serve our community. It's a great way for a year-end recap and a way to connect with other arts advocates in our area.
All members in good standing are eligible to vote for the slate of candidates presented by our Governance Committee, who will serve the organization beginning July 1, 2021. Should a member be unable to attend in person, mail-in votes are accepted. More information will be sent to members regarding this important issue as the annual meeting date gets closer.
