The Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition is one of the Allegany Arts Council's signature events, now entering its eighth year. Established in 2015, it began as a way to showcase photography talent in the region, but quickly grew into a nationally-recognized competition.
The competition has steadily grown in popularity, receiving nearly 1000 entries nationwide from photographers representing 41 states. Today, the show serves as a model for other organizations seeking to develop programs of their own.
This year's competition features three categories: black and white (monochrome), color, and photography as sculpture. A Public Opening & Awards Reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
Entries are now being accepted for the 8th annual contest. Entries are submitted through CAFE, located at www.callforentry.org. If you'd like to be added to our distribution list for future updates, please contact Deb Litman, Assistant Director, at email@example.com.
The deadline to enter is February 11, 2022.
