Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series Presents Fantastic Cat

Thursday, August 8 • 7:00PM • Free

The Allegany Arts Council is pleased to present the final show of the 2024 Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series featuring New York-based band, Fantastic Cat!

Fantastic Cat was conceived as a collaborative project between singer/songwriters Don DiLego, Anthony D'Amato, and Brian Dunne along with Hollis Brown frontman, Mike Montali. Lacking a name before their first recording session, the four asked a waitress at a local New York City bar what they should call themselves. Without hesitation, she replied, "Fantastic Cat," and the name stuck.

Artist Jane Beaird illustrated the band as anthropomorphic cats for the cover of their self-titled 2021 EP, which eventually turned into the signature masks the band wears in all of their photos and videos. The band has described their humor and satirical attitude as a spoof of their own respective solo careers taking themselves too seriously.

All Levitt AMP programs are free to the public. In 2024, we will also have a Kids Zone area as well as beer and wine sales onsite. Food partners will be announced as they become available.

The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series is supported in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, which exists to strengthen the social fabric of America. It partners with communities to activate underused outdoor spaces, creating welcoming, inclusive destinations where the power of free, live music brings people together and invigorates community life.
