The Allegany Arts Council and its Saville Gallery are pleased to announce the work of artist, Jeff Bohlander, in his solo exhibition, entitled "Reclaiming". The exhibition will be on display from April 30-May 21, 2022. A Public Opening will take place Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
After earning his BFA from The Maryland Institute College of Art, Jeff’s professional career has
been broad reaching, from nationally-recognized Illustrator, to prolific fine artist and respected
art theorist, and pedagogue. As a freelance illustrator and designer since college he has worked
for many of the largest corporate, institutional and editorial clients nationwide. Some of his
clients have included: The Atlantic Monthly, Business Week, U.S. News & World Report,
Newsweek, Fortune, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Men’s Journal, Men's
Health, Psychology Today, Money magazine, Smart Money, Popular Science, Business 2.0,
Continental Airlines, The Discovery Channel, Harvard University, and Columbia University. His artwork has been exhibited extensively both locally and nationally and is included in several
national private and public collections.
Bohlander won the Best in Show honor at the 20th Annual Wills Creek Competition of Fine Art, juried by Jack Rasmussen, Director and Curator of the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center. Jeff was recently awarded 3rd place honors at the 2019 Maryland Biennial Juried Exhibition at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He is a three time winner of 2nd place prize at The Delaplaine Visual Art Center National Juried Exhibition.
He has exhibited at The Bertaux Gallery, Baltimore MD, the Fleckenstein
Gallery, Towson MD, Mary Condon Hodgson Gallery, Frederick MD, The Delaplaine Visual Art Center, Frederick MD, The Washington County Museum of Fine Art, Hagerstown MD, National Illustrators Invitational Exhibition at The Pennsylvania School of Art and Design, Lancaster PA, The Chi Gallery, Brooklyn NY, and at the prestigious Society of Illustrators in New York.
He has been an Adjunct Professor at Frederick Community College and at Shepherd University
as well as Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
