The Allegany Arts Council and its Saville Gallery are excited to announce a special juried exhibition which will explore the theme, "What is....Love?" to take place February 3-24, 2024.
We are fascinated by the concept of love - who gets it and why, what is it exactly - a feeling, a knowing? What happens when we receive it or when it leaves? How does it change and impact us? Are we better off for it?
A call for entry is open inviting artists from all mediums to enter work in the show - of special interest are selections in music performance, film or audio, and literary works. The deadline to enter is January 5, 2024. $2,000 in prizes will be awarded!
A Public Opening & Awards program will take place Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. All are invited.

Our Jury
For this special exhibition, members of the Arts Council's Exhibition Committee will select works for inclusion in the show using a ranking system and prizes will be awarded from reviewing installed works.
We are also pleased to partner with Frostburg State University's Cultural Event Series and local music venue, Loft 129, for special love-themed events during the month. Check our our events calendar for more details!
