Artist bio: My name is Wayne George. I am self-taught with no formal art training. I graduated from High School in 1968. I joined the United States Air Force in 1969 during the Viet Nam War. I received an Honorable Discharge in 1973 and then attended Allegany Community College (Cumberland, MD). In 1976 I began employment with the Maryland Courts system. While employed I attended and graduated from Prince George’s Community College. I retired from the State of Maryland in 2013 after over 36 years. I am a current member of the Allegany Arts Council (Cumberland, MD) and an Artist member of the American Society of Aviation Artist. My art work is mostly in Acrylic. My subjects include aviation, trains, landscapes (C&O Canal, England, etc.). My work has been displayed in Cumberland, MD, Upper Marlboro, MD, The United Kingdom and Germany.
