Maluchi Enyi is a Washington, DC–based artist working in scratchboard and mixed‑media processes, creating detailed imagery that merges architectural motifs with intimate human experiences. His practice centers on the brick as a symbolic form, using it to explore permanence, memory, and the monumental weight carried by everyday gestures. Working from his studio in Riverdale, Maryland, he builds his own scratchboard surfaces by applying oil pastels, sealing them beneath colored India ink, and carving back into the surface to reveal underlying color.
