Kristine Hinrichs

Kristine Hinrichs is a Milwaukee, Wisconsin based photographer. She has photographed and posted to social media every day since July 2, 2011 – nearly 5,400 consecutive days. She expanded the presentation of her photography to images that she prints on silk – both silk panel installations and hand-quilted silk pieces. The silk pieces allow her to translate two-dimensional photographs into a three dimensional piece and marries modern digital photography with silk as an ancient medium. Her award winning work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions throughout the US.

By Kathryn Disher

Now we stand at the precipice of decision.
Is this what we were meant to be?
The empire is falling.
Time is of the essence
for our choice to be made.
All that is done will impact the
Good of all our
People.
To the evil: remember that you are nothing.
Come and see your absence in our future.
To the good: remember that you have power.
The darkness of the world will fall.
Aid each other the best that you can.
Of course, it will not be easy.
Their deeds will still reap death.
Country, state, city, or town – we must stand together to succeed.
