For most of her adult life, Karla Holland-Scholer has kept a dream journal, drawing upon it as both a source of imagery and a means of exploring the hidden currents between dreaming and waking life. Her paintings and sculptures weave together personal mythology, memory, folklore, and the subconscious, creating intimate theatrical worlds where symbolic narratives quietly unfold. Working primarily in clay and oil, she embraces additional materials whenever they deepen the story or evoke a sense of wonder. Holland-Scholer’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in numerous private and public collections, including the Kamm Teapot Foundation.
