Allegany Arts Council welcomes Alec Edwards as Program Associate
CUMBERLAND- The Allegany Arts Council is pleased to welcome Alec Edwards to its staff. Edwards will serve as program associate, supporting program development, gallery operations, and creative projects.
Edwards originally joined the Arts Council in 2018, working as a weekend gallery assistant. She returned in April 2021 after completing her education. Arts Council executive director Julie Westendorff says, “Alec has been a vital part of our team here for several years, and we are excited to see her take the next step in her professional career, both as an artist and into arts administration. We look forward to her youthful approach and her creative influence on our work.”
Edwards holds a B.A. in fine arts with a focus in printmaking and graphic design, and a minor in art history from Frostburg State University. She enjoys both serving and growing along with the regional art community.
