The Allegany Arts Council offers an annual corporate sponsorship program, “The Arts Mean Business.”
The program showcases the powerful impact made when businesses support artistic endeavors in their community, creating a more vibrant destination for tourists and residents, and increasing sales for their businesses.
Support begins January 1st annually with benefits lasting through the year. See below for specific categories and benefits available.
The arts and culture industry is real, generating $961.6 million in economic activity annually—$511.4 million in spending by arts and cultural organizations and $450.2 million in event-related spending by their audiences supporting 25,248 jobs and generating $87.4 million in government revenue.
In Allegany County, the arts make a tremendous impact. For every dollar spent on arts and cultural activities, more than $4.00 additional is generated for local restaurants, theatres, retail stores, and beyond. Investing in the arts is making an investment in your business.
Maryland Citizens for the Arts (MCA) is an arts advocacy organization which supports and lobbies on behalf of the arts sector across the state of Maryland. It produces data which outlines the specific impact of the arts in our state, and is based off a larger, more robust study nationwide by Americans for the Arts.
