CUMBERLAND—The Allegany Arts Council is pleased to present two new exhibitions which will be on display beginning Saturday, September 30, 2023, in its Saville and Schwab Galleries, 9 N. Centre Street in Cumberland. Inch by Inch: The Art of Greg Malloy features the work of the local artist who is using an innovative approach for this exhibit: sales by the square inch. These massive, colorful canvases and floor cloth will allow viewers to select the specific section of the artwork they want to purchase, creating a communal approach to owning the artist’s work. In the Schwab Gallery, viewers will continue to see the evolution of local watercolorists in their exhibit entitled, Where Water Meets Pigment.
A Public Opening for both exhibitions will take place Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 6-8PM. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibitions run through October 21, 2023.
