Allegany Arts Council presents Art On Demand

CUMBERLAND—The Allegany Arts Council is thrilled to present Art on Demand, the latest addition to its virtual programming. This collaboration with local arts educator and artist Bobby Croft, provides online art lessons for school-aged kids to enjoy whenever they feel inspired to create.

Art on Demand lessons are best for children in grades K-6 and are a great resource to complement hybrid and at-home learning. Modules can be viewed any time, are accessible to kids with different skill levels, and require minimal supplies and parental support. Art on Demand lessons will soon be included in an archive section of the Allegany Arts Council’s website for future use. In the meantime, the first lesson, Paper Sculpture Masks, is now available and can be found on YouTube by searching Allegany Arts Council.

To maximize the impact of the program, children can complete the art project at home and then visit the Allegany Arts Council galleries, where each module corresponds to an exhibition taking place. The Paper Sculpture Masks lesson complements the Obscure Oddities: Clay Creations exhibit which runs through October 31, 2020.
