Closing Reception scheduled for Reflection in Glass and Mountain Maryland Photo Show
CUMBERLAND— A Closing Reception for the two exhibitions currently on display at the Allegany Arts Council will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
The Saville Gallery will feature the work of artist Erwin Timmers in an exhibition entitled Reflections in Glass. Timmers is co-founder and director of the Washington Glass School and one of the DC area’s leading eco-artists. Recycling, waste, the environment, and the ways in which all three relate to society are recurring themes in his work.
The Schwab Gallery will display the winning photographs from Allegany County Tourism, the Mountain Side of Maryland’s 4th Annual Mountain Maryland Photo Contest. The contest invites the community and visitors to share images that tell Allegany County, the Mountain Side of Maryland’s story of place, culture, lifestyle, and recreation. This year’s winning images include photos by David Best, Erin Dettinburn, Robert Helton, Amber Kresge, Beth McElvie, Mark Moessinger, Janelle Muletz, Hassaan Rasheed, Adam Rinehart, and Donna Vernon.
